Zealandia Designs
Complicated Process in making her jewelry...
(A Letter to
Zealandia's Customers... "Retailers")
Dear
Customers,
With great
appreciation and high expectations for a prosperous new year, we
are sending you an updated 2005 price list,
new design catalog inserts and
important details about Zealandia's unique business.
A thorough
analysis of cost has resulted in long over due price changes.
The price of silver, fossil, and production have gone up
dramatically and for us to continue supplying you with our line
we must make these changes immediately. The enclosed price
list is complete with newly discontinued items, please inquire as
to the availability of these items, as we will still be selling
them while stock lasts. Although we are sad to see many of
our beautiful designs go, we are thrilled to be adding many new
works of art to our established line.
We would
like to share the complicated process and effort that goes into
the making of Zealandia designs. The mammoth ivory and
walrus fossil are excavated from the Bering Strait off the shore
of Alaska, and shipped through rigorous customs to Idaho for
sorting and inspection. Handpicked pieces then make the
journey to Indonesia where the fossil and ivory are hand carved
by local Balinese artisans and handcrafted at our Indonesian
silversmiths before their return to Idaho. Our staff here
in Idaho prepares and packages each piece with care before
shipping it out to you. Keep in mind when ordering that
various shading and slight irregularities which may appear in the
fossils are inherent to the natural occurring minerals in the
earth. These unique features have developed after 500 to
3000 years of nature's intricate sculpting process and in no way
reflect damaged or flawed material. We hope you will agree
that these factors contribute to the beauty and value of each
individual work of art.
Our ordering
and shipping procedures are contingent with supply and production
of our jewelry. Due to the lengthy process involved, we
cannot make guarantees on stock at any given time. Also,
please allow 3 to 5 weeks delivery for all orders. We
regret that we cannot provide you with the promptness of factory
manufacturing, but hope you will agree the end product is worth
the wait. Thank you for your patience and understanding as
we value you as a representative of the Zealandia line.
Here's to a
fantastic new year for you from all of us at Zealandia Designs.
Yours truly,
Jenny Byrne
