company.
It was founded in 1972 by Jorge De Rosa Thompson
and Jesus and Javier Carbajales--twin brothers
who were born in
Spain but moved with their parents to South America
at the
outbreak of the Spanish Civil War.
Loosely translated, the
company's name means "art of the corner," and refers to its
roots,
when Jesus Carbajales began designing the figurines in a
corner of the family home.
